(Dan Tri) – The B-class car models introduced to Vietnamese customers in 2023 are all popular cars, of which the sedan models are mainly upgraded versions, in addition to two completely new high-clearance car models.
In the B-class car segment, there are 5 products introduced this year, including 3 upgraded low-slung models;
Toyota Vios 2023
`Launching` on May 10, Toyota Vios 2023 for Vietnam is only a mid-life upgrade (facelift) and not a new generation like other markets in the region.
Toyota Vios 2023 is still assembled domestically with 3 versions, the price is reduced by 10-14 million VND compared to the old model, ranging from 479-592 million VND (Photo: Nguyen Lam).
Compared to the old model, Toyota Vios 2023 only changes in the steering wheel and alloy wheel design.
The car’s safety equipment is supplemented with PCS pre-collision warning and LDA lane departure warning, which are part of the Toyota Safety Sense package.

After receiving the upgrade, the consumption of Toyota Vios 2023 still shows no signs of improvement.
However, Toyota Vios still cannot surpass Hyundai Accent, and is at risk of losing its position as the best-selling B-class sedan of the year.
Honda City 2023
Similar to Vios, Honda City 2023 is just a facelift version, launched to Vietnamese customers on July 4.

In addition to some design tweaks, the highlight of City 2023 lies in the Honda Sensing technology package that appears on all versions.

With the above upgrade, Honda City is currently the most technologically advanced product in the B-class sedan segment. However, with its high price, this model is mainly aimed at individual customers, ignoring users who want to buy a car.
Toyota Yaris Cross
On September 19, Toyota Yaris Cross was introduced to Vietnamese customers for the first time.

Yaris Cross is distributed with 2 versions including gasoline and hybrid engines, suggested retail price 730-838 million VND.
Despite being a Japanese brand, this model still has difficulty competing due to high prices and imports.
To stimulate demand, Toyota Yaris Cross often needs big incentives at dealers, such as a discount of up to 100-115 million VND for the hybrid version this December.

Thanks to strong dealer incentives, Toyota Yaris Cross’s consumption grew more than 4 times in November, reaching 1,092 vehicles, surpassing Kia Seltos (1,054 vehicles) and only behind Hyundai Creta (1,218 vehicles).
VinFast VF 6
At the end of September, VinFast VF 6 was officially priced and opened to receive orders in Vietnam from October 20.
If buying the battery outright, Vietnamese customers will need to spend an additional 90 million VND, corresponding to a price of 765 million VND for the Base version and 855 million VND for the Plus version.
Depending on the version, VinFast VF 6 has a maximum operating range of 381-399km on a single charge (Photo: VF).
In case of battery rental, users need to deposit 25 million VND for the battery and choose 1 of 2 service packages: 1.8 million VND/3,000km per month or 3 million VND with unlimited km.
The two variants of the VF 6 are equipped with an electric motor located at the front axle but differ in output power.
Mazda2 2023
Not launched as loudly as the above products, the Mazda2 2023 was brought to dealers and the official selling price updated on Mazda Vietnam’s homepage in early October.
Unlike other markets in the region, the Mazda2 has only upgraded the facelift for the sedan variants, the older hatchback versions are still sold in parallel.

The selling price of Mazda2 2023 is low in the B-class sedan segment, cheaper than Hyundai Accent (426-542 million VND).
The standard AT version of the Mazda2 2023 has a New Wave Design style with an almost closed grille, inspired by electric vehicles, and comes with 15-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the 2023 Mazda2 is not as eye-catching as its competitors in the same segment.
The car’s safety equipment is at a basic level, without advanced driver assistance features like the Honda City or Toyota Vios.

Despite the new version, the Mazda2’s sales show no signs of a breakthrough, remaining at the bottom of the B-class sedan segment. From the beginning of the year to the end of November, cumulative sales of this model reached 3,495 vehicles, losing
