(Dan Tri) – Cristiano Ronaldo was not present at Man Utd’s latest training session, causing him to be suspected of being re-infected with Covid-19 in a situation where the Manchester team had many positive cases.
Man Utd is suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Man Utd then tried to control the situation by testing all players and staff arriving at the Carrington training area.
Man Utd is having to postpone two matches because of Covid-19.
Man Utd’s efforts to control the disease were not effective. Covid-19 still broke out at Old Trafford with the number of positive cases increasing day by day, forcing the team to ask to postpone the match with Brentford in
Man Utd’s situation is not better.
Man Utd’s statement said: `Man Utd can confirm that the Premier League match against Brighton on Saturday has been postponed and will be rescheduled in due course.
The health of our players and staff is our priority.
We will also suspend training activities at Carrington Training Complex for a short period of time to help reduce the risk of disease transmission.
Ronaldo did not appear at Thursday morning’s training session at Carrington.
At the most recent training session before Carrington closed again, Cristiano Ronaldo did not appear.
In October 2020, Ronaldo was infected with Covid-19 while on duty for the Portuguese team.
Ronaldo is still Man Utd’s number one scorer in the Premier League this season.
