500 days of Summer
Even though it was released in 2009, people still often discuss the movie `500 days of Summer` by director Marc Webb.
Although in the end, both chose their own path, they both received extremely meaningful lessons about love and life.
Three steps above Heaven
`Three steps above Heaven` is a beautiful story about school-age love but does not have a perfect ending for the two main characters.
Throughout the whole movie there are only love – anger – reunion – anger, making the viewer feel suffocated about this relationship, and then in the end it completely ends, severing the relationship.
You are the apple of my eye
Set in Taiwan in 1994, `You are the apple of my eye` is a story about a group of close friends including Kha Canh Dang, Lao Cao, Bo Khoi, Cai Bien, A Hoa during their high school years who like each other.
The love between Canh Dang and Giai Nghi in the film is portrayed in a clear, bright and beautiful way like the students themselves.
Recently, the Japanese version of `You are the apple of my eye` was released to Vietnamese audiences but did not receive many positive responses due to the large shadow of the original version.
One Day
Based on the novel of the same name by David Nicholls, One Day tells the story of the 20-year journey of friendship and love between Dexter (Jim Sturgess) and Emma (Anne Hathaway).
Through many ups and downs, many missed appointments and escapes, the two finally realized that they are half of each other.
Atonements
In a slow narrative rhythm, with classical music in the background, the character Briony sits directly in front of the camera, confiding about the obsession with guilt she has carried with her throughout her life: `That was the last kind thing I could do.`
After that, `Redemption` cleverly brought the audience back to the past, when the character Briony was still a 13-year-old child and no matter what time and space the story took place in, the shadow of sin still remained.
When released in 2007, Atonement received countless compliments and won the Golden Globe for Best Psychological Film.
