(Dan Tri) – Experts say that the S-300 missile defense system deployed by Russia in Syria is not the most terrifying weapon for Israel if it intends to conduct air strikes against Israel.

This week, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced a series of measures in response to the downing of a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance plane carrying 15 people on September 17.
“The Syrian Armed Forces will be provided with the state-of-the-art S-300 missile defense system within the next 2 weeks.
For years, Syria and Iran have sought to acquire Russia’s S-300 long-range missile defense system.
The S-300 is an effective air defense system, capable of intercepting aircraft, ballistic missiles, and even cruise missiles with a range of more than 150km at high altitude.
Israeli military experts believe that for them, the S-300 defense system is not a threat that they cannot overcome.

According to Russian media, electronic warfare systems will create an `electronic radio dome` with a radius of hundreds of kilometers around western Syria and the Mediterranean coast.
Israeli analysts believe that Israel cannot act alone and will instead seek help from the US.
In addition, even if Israel can overcome Russia’s electronic warfare challenges or destroy the S-300 system supplied by Russia to Syria, this move will still lead to the risk of escalating tensions.
